Linda Healey

Just found your evocative memories of Bob
Giroux. I felt honored to be given the office next door to his when I first came to FS and Giroux. And a thousand fold more honored when he asked me to read the
manuscript of his extraordinary book A DEED OF DEATH. One measure of his great
generosity of mind and spirit is the acknowledgements page in the Knopf 1990 first edition of this book.
Much greater measure is the stunning pantheon of writers he nurtured.!!
