That's very good news about the federation of independent businesses: here's an issue where environmentally minded consumers and small businesses really ought to be on the same side. (I've signed up for Transportation for America already: they are the one advocacy group that I wish contacted me more often.) Are organizations and people who promote regional planning (e.g. Myron Orfield), and groups of city managers and other local government entities, already involved? Does Transportation for America talk, in particular, to city managers, in cities with manager governments (including some larger suburbs)?
