Beacon Broadside strives to be a community that fosters debate, freedom of speech, and impassioned, respectful discussion. To these ends, we welcome comments from our readers on all of our posts. However, we request that comments be free from personal attacks, foul language, racist or otherwise disrespectful remarks, and misrepresentation.

We also respect copyright and the labor it represents, and request that quotes be properly attributed to their sources. This not only shows respect to authors and their work, but also can prevent misquotations and misunderstandings.

While we hope to moderate discussion with a light hand, we will delete any comment spam and will issue warnings and block users when necessary.
