These pieces build on those in Section C of Educational Courage, “‘I Won’t Be a Part of This’!: Educators, Students and Community Members Resist.” In this section, we hear more voices of those who have taken active steps as individuals to write, to act and to take leadership with others to resist the educational policies and practices that distort public education. The narratives here inspire us to “do something,” reminding us that it IS possible to make a difference. The situation is not hopeless when individuals act with courage and commitment.
